What can triggers do?

• Triggers are useful for automated processing

  • ADDOPR, CHGOPR (?!)
  • Virtual fields too slow?
    • No problem – make ‘em computed with a trigger
  • Stored computed columns
  • Status and/or status date fields
  • Notify (email?) when certain things happen...
